Also the new Botanical Bliss Tinkering Ink range is now in store, and selling fast. It's just as gorgeous in real life, and is actually double-sided with a co-ordinating coloured back. Just beautiful.

On the home front, I'm still working on my Awards for Excellence entry....I know, I know, it's taking me forever, but I promise I'm almost there. Roh's got a cold, but the kids are all fine at the moment.

Happy scrapping!

Oops - Almost Forgot - Tagged by Felicity

Yep, Felicity tagged me the other day on her blog, so now I have to state 7 random things about me. Hmmmm....

1. Other than Kiti Q, I work for a Recruitment Company as an administration/payroll girl. Previously I worked for them as an Office Manager, before Jude came along. And even before that, my boss used to be one of my clients when I was an Employment Consultant before Alannah was born.

2. I grew up in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia, Mt Barker, to be exact. And it is/was a beautiful place to grow up. But it has become so much bigger than what it was when I was a kid.

3. I am a Romantic Comedy movie buff - LOVE my feel-good movies. Some favourites are 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days', 'Suddenly 30', 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'What a Girl Wants'.

4. I am a home body. I love just chilling at home, wandering around doing whatever I feel like, not having to stress about what the kids are up to. And although it got a little tedious, I loved it when we only had the one car between Roh & I last year (his had died) cos I had an excuse not to go out :-P

5. My dream car is a Volkswagon Beetle convertible - red. I would LOVE to have this car - not really practical, as I can't imagine fitting all my display stands into it for Kiti Q, but still, it would be so cool.

6. Other than scrapping magazines, the only magazines that I read regularly are Real Living and Home Beautiful - at the moment, the ideas are more wishful thinking, but it's keeps me going, living in our little shack/cottage.

7. I LOVE names. It's the first thing I want to know when a friend/family member has a baby. And there is a bit of a baby boom going on around me at the moment. In the last month, Ebony May and Savannah Paige have entered the world. Two more bubs are due in the first week of September, then another two in November and one in January. I've always liked the more unusual names, not completely bizarre names, just a little different. I had to compromise with my hubby though, cos he is more traditional. Some girls names that I love are Charlize, Arwen, Tallulah, Lucille, Eden, and some boys names are London, Jett, Nate, Cole. Hmmm, fortunately no plans for a third so these names can just be names I love and no compromises required.

I think most of the people I know have been tagged with this one, but if you want to have a go, by all means :-)

My Scruff

Love these photos of Jude, and had fun doing this layout. Kept it pretty simple, and finally got to use one of Jane's Crafty Matters Ceramic Beep Beep Cars - so cute! You can get them over at the Crafty Matters blog. Will put a link up in my side bar tomorrow :-)

Today I got to do some fun shopping for Kiti Q - the new Tinkering Ink range Botanical Bliss is now on it's way to me, and I can't wait to get it in-store. So bright and funky! Only a few sleeps away...he he.

A Layout to Share...more to come :-)

Last night I went to an EB girls crop night, and had a ball. So much chatting, a bit of scrapping and lots of laughing. I finished off one layout, and almost finished a second, that just needs journaling. I am still deciding on my FK's Awards layouts, so some might not make it on the blog quite yet ;-).

This layout is one that I did in SA, of my darling nephew Caden. He's now 8 months old but I still love the new bub photos. I should have some more layouts to share by the end of the week....well, that's the plan.

Back Again :-P

Ok, I'm back..did ya miss me? LOL. Above is a quick photo share : My cousin Marissa and me (with my new do), Hayley & Lana, Caden and Jude.

Had a fab time in SA with friends and family. I did manage to get some scrapping done, and I am hoping to share a layout tomorrow, I am just missing one vital letter for the title - should have checked before I started really..he he. Oh well. I did a couple of other pages too - had a great day scrapping with my buddy Cass, amongst 3 crazy children, and got another page finished for my FK's Award for Excellence entry. Not long to go now.

It was wonderful just hanging out with Mum and Dad, watching DVD's and just chatting. Home is such a great place to be, and I always love this time that I spend with my parents. Mum is doing better now too.

Other news : I had my hair cut even shorter again, and I've gone blonde just for fun. Alannah is pretty much completely over her chicken pox now, and amazingly Jude didn't get them - yay! Bam Pop arrived in store at Kiti Q today, and is selling well already - the range is just so much fun! Danielle's Q Tea kits have already sold out for August which is fantastic...and I've seen some of the kit in real life, and it is divine :-)

Ok, will try and get back tomorrow. Working tomorrow too though - back to reality :-P

Going on Holiday

The kids and I are heading off to SA tomorrow, to spend some long-awaited time with close friends, and of course family. I can't wait to give my nephew lots of cuddles, and my dearest friend Cass lots of cuppas and laughter, and of course catch up with my parents and my sister and the extended family. My mum has actually just been diagnosed with pneumonia, so it's good timing in a way, cos I can help her out a bit, and we can just do girly DVD's and such.

I've decided to split the trip up by staying with friends in Stawell tomorrow, which will be fantastic. I've been friends with this couple for about 15 years now - crazy how time flies :-) Rohan will be joining us in SA next Thursday, flying in and then driving home with us on Monday 6th August, so it is going to be a real LONG break for me - quite bizarre really.

Kiti Q is still up and running as per normal though - with my fabulous sister Danielle taking charge, and me still checking in on occasions.

Sorry, my brain is a bit fuzzy tonight. I didn't each much today and I think my body is giving up a bit earlier tonight than usual.

Ooops - rambling. Will head off. Take care and I look forward to catching up with everything when I get back

Thank You!

I just wanted to say 'thank you' for everyone's comments and advice. It's been a great help. Lana is looking very spotty now, but I think I've been able to make her more comfortable due to all of your tips, so again - thank you!

Other news - my fantastic sister Danielle ordered me some Love Elsie Lola products - yay! Can't wait to have a play with these. It's such a shame that they aren't been released in Australia cos the Lola and Riley ranges are just gorgeous.

Bam Pop Volume 3 should be leaving the states on Tuesday, so it won't be long and it will be in store. Double Yay!!

I'm off to my dear friend Kate's place this afternoon/evening for a scrap day/night and I can't wait. Not only will I get a break from this house, and sickness, but I'll get to hang out with some girlfriends and scrap - life is good :-)

Enjoy your Sunday!

Chicken Pox - Help!!

Ok, well, I think Alannah has chicken pox. Yesterday she showed me a couple of spots on her tummy and I just thought they were bites, as she had no spots anywhere else. Then tonight after dinner she comes to me and says her back is itchy, so I lift up her top and I find at least 10 spots/blister like things on her back, and a few more on her tummy and a few on her face. Pretty much looks like chicken pox - well, that's my home diagnosis - with it going around at her childcare centre, the odds aren't good. So help! What should I do to help her through this? She doesn't seem too bad at the moment but more spots are probably on the way.

Looks like I'll be hanging out at home for the next week or so...

Bam Pop Peek - So Fun!

Volume 3 is being launched in just a few days, and I found a few images of the new range. It's bright, it's funky and most importantly, it's fun! The names of these papers are Jellyfish, Ninguins (which is a shortened version of Ninja Penguins - just LOVE it!) and Unicorn Power. Just wanted to share :-)

A Quick Update

I know I've been a terrible blogger & scrapper lately with not much to share, so this is just a quick update :

* Have been hectically busy this week in preparation for Saturday's Scrap'n'Chat with Bon's Scraps. It should be a great day, just takes a bit of work to prep all the products, and organise the other things.

* The new CherryArte paper ranges and rub-ons arrived on Monday - yay! Very bright and cheery.

* Yesterday after work, I just walked into my local hairdresser and asked her to cut my hair off, so now it sits just above my shoulders and I'm happy to have a fresh look, cos I was getting a bit tired of the long hair :-P. (will hopefully have a photo to share after the weekend - hint, hint Dan LOL)

* I FINALLY asked my boss if I could cut my days down to one day per week (doing payroll at a recruitment firm) and he said 'yes' - yay! So as of August, I'll be spending one less day away from my kids and home.

* My hubby Roh has done something to his back, and has only been able to work sporadically over the last couple of weeks - not good :-(

* Just got a copy of the latest Scrapbook Creations mag, and way to go Dan - you are all over this issue! So fantastic. Oh, and I have a layout in there too - my first one published in Scrap Creations.

* Alannah & Jude are well, growing into more mischievious monkeys as every day passes LOL

Ok, think that's about it...oh wait

* Went to the movies on Tuesday night with my fab friend Kate, and we saw "Transformers" and it is such a COOL movie! Loved it!

Ok, that's definitely it now. Have a great Thursday!

Hugs,
Kell

Scrapping again

I had a scrapping afternoon, which was great fun, and I managed to get 3 things ticked off my scrapping 'to-do' list - yay me! Here's one of my layouts.

A Layout to Share

Last night, while my hubby was at the movies, I sat down and started this layout - just for fun. And it actually fits in with this fortnight's dare at the How Dare You blog which is to use fabric. I am loving the Love, Elsie fabric papers - so fun! Anyhow, it's of my little nephew Caden and his dad Alan when he was only about one day old. How adorable is this photo - it was taken by my talented sister Danielle, and just captures that precious moment so well.

Had a fun afternoon today - shopping up at the sales, mainly at Pumpkin Patch and Cotton on Kids but many bargains were had, and my poor credit card got a bit of a beating.

Oh, a BIG, HUGE Happy Anniversary for yesterday to my brother-in-law/sister-in-law Nathan and Reeze who have just celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary and have some very exciting things to look forward to in their 11th year together ;-). Happy Anniversary guys!

I am thinking of revamping my bedroom. It's currently in blues & chocolates and is all nice and everything but I've had it like that for about 4 years and I think it's time for a change. I was thinking about bringing in a bit of green and some brighter colours - I have blue walls, so at the moment they have to stay, but I think I can work with it. Hmm, something to think about anyway. I might have a play on a canvas with some paint, have some fun and see what I come up with....it could end up being my inspiration .. Will share if it looks any good LOL.

Photo Share....especially for Dad :-)

My Dad reads my blog...and much prefers to see photos of his grandkids than my scrapbooking things, so this is especially for you, dad. Oh, and the scrap-related things are actually photos taken by my dad on his dives, and this is the mini album I've started for him.

So we've got a couple of shots of Jude - one where he is looking all serious and full of attitude in his shirt and tie, but with his cup of milk LOL, and the other in his new jumper that my mum knitted for him - very spunky! And then little Lana, who isn't so little anymore, with her new haircut - she had about 3 inches cut off and layers put in - it was long overdue!

Not much else to report in. New Rouge De Garance ranges - Cupidon and Urbaine - are now in store at Kiti Q, and Basic Grey's new range Infuse should arrive either Monday or Tuesday, so along with Love, Elsie, lots of new stock has been arriving. Not much happening on the scrapping front for me either....although I so want to scrap! Having all these fab products around is soooo tempting.

The new Transformers movie is out tomorrow, and my hubby is off to see it with a bunch of his mates. I hope it's good cos he's been talking about it for months now :-P

Ok, enough of my rant. Enjoy your evening :-)

Yay - Tam has joined Kiti Q's Design Team!

Yep, that's right. The very talented, lovely lady Tam Milborn has agreed to design for Kiti Q. Woo Hoo! Danielle and I met up with Tam yesterday at the fab cafe Ripe in Sassafras (The Dandenong Ranges) and had a good old chat and finalised things (oh, and of course Dan took a few photos), so now it's out there for public knowledge. I am so excited to have a fresh face join the Kiti Q team, and I can't wait to see what Tam comes up with.

Welcome to Kiti Q Tam!

Love, Elsie is here....well, most of it :-P

Kiti Q has finally received MOST of it's Love, Elsie order. Here is where I apologise, as due to a miscommunication from my Stock Receiver who guaranteed my entire order was here in Oz, I had put everything up in store, but then to my horror, when I got the stock in my hands, I was missing a few products lines....grrrrr. Not happy! I've taken the missing stock out of the store now but I'm sorry for those first, quick buyers. Apparently the remaining items will be shipped from the USA in early July. Still not happy! Oh the joys of having a business...

Anyway, onto the fun bit - the Love, Elsie products are SO FUNKY!! Especially the fabric papers, the chipboard buttons and the embossed cardstock...I won't go on...it's getting embarrassing LOL.

I've spent most of my day today doing housework - just yuck. But the good news is my scrap desk is completely clean and ready for me to create a new mess on it. Can't wait. It's been over a week since I played, and my fingers are itching to do something with the Love, Elsie products. It's way too tempting having all the stock in my house LOL. I'll be good though...I promise :-)

New Kitchen Dreaming

I found this fantastic kitchen in the July 2007 issue of Real Living - LOVE this magazine! Anyway, Roh and I are about to start our extension/major renovations which will eventually include a new kitchen....something very similar to this one :-) Roh tells me that it is still ages away, but I like to plan ahead and have something fun to look forward to. Maybe I will actually like cooking in THIS kitchen LOL...well, maybe :-P

Alannah Art

Isn't this little bird just so adorable? Alannah drew it on the weekend, and I just loved it so much I decided it would be a great thing to scrap, so I did! It actually fitted in brilliantly with the 1,2,3 Monthly Challenge where you need to include birds, acrylic stamping and polka dots. But I just love how fab a drawer my little girl is. Her drawings make me happy :-)

Lots of Pictures...Mail Art & Kiwiscraps Projects

Ok, so lots of piccies. First up is the mail art that I have received through Charmane's blog - lots of fun Bam Pop images from Charmane, some very funky & arty things from Sylvia in Germany and a very pretty little package from Teina. I LOVE getting happy mail like this. Oh, and I have finished mine so they will be posted off this week too, girls :-).

Then the following images are of my Kiwiscraps projects. First up is the lovely Nic Howard's "Wildflowers" class - I loved how this layout turned out, loved being introduced to the very addictive technique of adding beads to your page and just the fun of the class. Next is Kim Henkel's "Art is Beautiful" class layout, which the whole premise was to not use adhesive, although I must admit that I did for the title but that was all - everything else was stitched on! Then was the super fun project with Rhonna Farrer "Pocketful of Surprises". Dan and I had a ball doing this class. Lots of little fun things that made us smile, and Rhonna was a real sweetie, and so positive all the time - it was great!

Am having a not-so-productive child-free day, but I am loving just chilling, doing a little catching up online and listening to some fab music instead of ABC kids - LOL!

Take care xx

Finishing Things Off

I'm usually pretty good with getting my projects finished off, but I dont know what happened with my Kiwiscraps classes. I've just pulled them all out, and I'm attempting to finish them off. This one of Jude (9"x9") was from Emily Falconbridge's class - it was great fun, and felt very arty. We dyed paper towels, and then made our own stencil which was cool. I did actually finish this layout during the class, but I had forgotton to share it.
I've just finished my Nic Howard "Wildflowers" class LO, which I really like - lots of beading and sparkle. I'll have to wait to get an image of this one though, as it's too lumpy bumpy for the scanner. Next on the list is either my Rhonna Farrer or Kim Henkel projects. Hmm, not sure yet. Will see what one inspires me tonight :-)

Have a great rest of the weekend!

And the Rub-ons go to.....

Tara! Congrats Tara and thanks everyone who left a comment. They were lovely messages to read :-) Tara, could you please email me at kelly@kitiq.com.au with your address, and I'll get them on their way to you.

Well, what else has been happening? - hmmm. Our washing machine died on Friday, and on Tuesday we had it's death confirmed by the repair guy :-(. I loved our washing machine...so easy to use, so friendly to clothes. He he....this is funny...I can't believe I just said that about an appliance LOL! Oh well. I dragged Roh & the kids out with me yesterday and we picked up a new one. And it's so funny - I don't think Rohan has ever done so much washing in such a short period of time.....must be boys and new toys me thinks ;-P. I'm not going to complain though...

Not much happening on the scrapping front, as I've been working the last two days. Maybe tomorrow though.

Hope everyone is having a great week! Hugs, K xx

My 100th Post - And to Celebrate....A Giveaway

This weekend has been quite productive and fun. Had a lovely morning coffee with Danielle and Vita yesterday, and we ended up at our LSS where I bought some new Rhonna Farrer stamps...it's my new thing - stamps - I just love them! Then the kids had a party yesterday arvo that we all went to as a family, so that was cool. Then today I've been creating..finally getting all of the mail art finished - sorry girls..I know I'm a bit behind with this but I promise I have finished everything but the envelopes and those I will do tomorrow :-P

Now, to the giveaway:
These are the funky 7 Gypsies "Girlfriends" rub-ons and to win them, all you need to do is post a comment and I will randomly draw out a name on Wednesday night. I think they are pretty cool so I hope whoever is reading this does too.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Post 99....oooohhhh

Wow - I can't believe I've almost hit the big 100 - I think my next post will have a give-away thingy to celebrate. Boy...I must be able to talk a lot to get to this number LOL!

Anyway, today was a good day. Danielle came over with the kids, and we let the kids completely run amok together, and we scrapped. Here is the layout I finished. It's for the current "How Dare You" blog where you needed to use beads (the blue line in the frame around the photo is beads - it took me ages to glue down :-P) and I also incorporated the Bam Pop Fatbird stamps which are so adorable and also part of the prize. Yes - Bam Pop stamps are up for grabs, so if you are loving Bam Pop like I do...maybe give it a go. I think you still have a few days. Love this photo of my wonderful sister Dan and fab cousin Bec - both younger than me so I think it's ok that I call them kids here :-) and they are definitely quirky!

Roh's gone out "transformer" toy shopping/hunting with Lana so I've almost got the night to myself..just one little boy to tuck into bed. And then I'm going to scrap - yay!

Monday, May 21, 2007

And the Winner is....

ALISON GRAY! Congrats Alison - the little Bam Pop "Buckethead" stamp will be on it's way to you this week. (For those of you who aren't in the know - this was a little competition run at Picture to Page Scrapbooking Fair).

Picture to Page was fantastic fun, met lots of lovely ladies, and men too..and even grabbed myself a couple of new things to play with - yay!

Had a productive day today..unfortunately not creatively, but I did organise my Love, Elsie shipment - should be here within a couple of weeks - Woo Hoo!! Can't wait.

Not much else to report - only other Kiti Q news..new Hambly should be up on the site by the end of the week, along with Scenic Route Paper Co and Crafty Matters. Hmm, lots of fun stuff.

Enjoy your week!

"His & Mine.."

I just love this quote "Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same" by Emily Bronte. Isn't that beautiful? Well, I thought it was perfect for this photo of my cousin Bec and her hubby Joel. I had so much fun doing this layout - loved limiting myself to just a couple of colours, and I really like the end result.

Oh, for all those who live in Melbourne, or around Melbourne, or who are visiting this weekend, there is the fantastic "From Picture to Page" Scrapbooking and Paper Show on this weekend - Saturday 19th May/Sunday 20th May - for more details please head over to the Kiti Q home page where all the details (address, times, cost) are listed :-). Would love to see you there!

A New Addition - Take 2 :-P

Well, I don't know what went wrong with my last post, but the images disappeared, so I'm trying again. Fingers crossed it all works this time :-)

So, here's my new bag (thanks Dan!) and one of my latest layouts.

Will update my blog again very soon....4 more sleeps until Picture to Page.

Friday, May 11, 2007

A New Addition - Thanks Dan!! :-)

Look at my fab, new, one of a kind funky vintage bag that my lovely sister Dan bought for me - I LOVE it!! It's so cool. It's from this groovy little store in Upwey called Voski, and is hand made and designed by the owner there. Just LOVE my latest addition to my bag collection! Thanks Dan xx

On the general life front, not a lot to report in with. My little nephew Ash gave us all a little scare, but after an overnight stay at the hospital for observation, all seems ok. Although Dan & Ben obviously want to keep a close eye on him, understandably.

I've been hectically preparing for the scrapbooking fair - Picture to Page - which is next weekend (19th/20th May) and I'm getting in A LOT of new stock which will make it's way to the online store after this event....Hambly, Crafty Matters, Scenic Route....just to name a few. Will upload all the details for the fair in another post next week.

I managed to get this month's 1,2,3 Blog challenge completed - I had to use 3 or more patterned papers, a transparency and flowers. So here it is. I used 3 papers from the Fancy Pants Clair De Lune range, which is very pretty, a Delish Design rub-on, a MME transparency and quote and EK Success Chipboard Alphabet. I just love this photo that Danielle took of Alannah.

I received some fun mail art in the post yesterday, but I haven't got a photo of it yet...will do so today or tomorrow and then share - they are fantastic!! Thanks Sylvia! Thanks Teina! I've got to get onto mine today or this weekend sometime, hopefully :-P

Thanks for visiting...and have a FAB Friday!!

Who loves Bam Pop?? Me!!

Yup, I love Bam Pop, and just can't help myself with their stamps - I want them all!! Look at this new little guy - he's called "Hellobot" - isn't he adorable? I'm actually using him on a layout I'm working on at the moment. Fun!

And this month at Kiti Q - all the Bam Pop is on SALE - 15% off - how great is that?Well, I'm off to play a bit more. Enjoy your Sunday!

Fun Photos from Sydney

Here are a few fun photos from Sydney. Firstly Viv and Danielle, my roomies - we had so many great conversations and lots of laughs, and Viv is such a sweetie. Next is Emily & me - Emily taught this super fun class with paper towel dying - lots of mess and creativity. I will upload my layout soon. Then there is Danielle, Rhonna Farrer and me - Rhonna is so vibrant and lively and her classes were great fun. Oh, and of course, a classic Sydney shot - Dan and I in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge - we had such a great day although my legs and feet are still recovering from all the walking LOL!

The final image is a sneak peek of a class kit designed by DQ, coming soon to Kiti Q. Doesn't it look awesome? It's using new Cosmo Cricket Halfway Cafe papers...tempting? Should be in-store by the end of the week.

Lots to share..

Wow - back from Sydney Kiwiscraps, and what a fantastic experience it was. Tiring, exhausting, creative, busy, social and so much fun. I got to meet some wonderful ladies and scrappers, and had a ball in the process. The classes were jam packed and I've now got some new techniques to play with. I'll slowly upload the various class projects as I finish them. This layout is from Rhonna Farrer's "Oodles of Doodles" class which was my very first class in Sydney.

Danielle and I had a very free and spontaneous day in Sydney on Monday, doing things that we don't usually get to do - like going to an Art Gallery and eating a whole icecream by ourself - LOL...something that is a rarity when you have little kids. We also got to see our parents and grandparents off on their cruise which was very cool.

Here is also another layout that I did in Sydney, but it's my design. Dan and I played around with our limited supplies on Sunday night, and this is the result. I've been meaning to scrap this photo for ages, for my friends and it came together really easily that night - I must have been inspired from all the classes I had taken! Love the Zina Wright stamp - so swirly and funky.

Um, I thought I'd share a couple of recent piccies of the kids. Ok - so Jude had his hair cut a couple of weeks ago and here are his before and after shots - isn't he a spunk?? LOL And an up-to-date photo of my kindy girl, little Miss Alannah and her beautiful long hair. Will sign off for now, but will be back soon with some photos from my girls weekend in Sydney :-)

Hugs,
K
